A modern day Boaz is a man who walks in integrity and is confident in his role as a spiritual leader. He finds your loyalty and faithfulness to God and others- Irresistible. He see's your past tears and struggles. He appreciates the journey you have been on and honors the strong woman you have become because of it. He embraces you and your children as treasures from the Lord. He sees you as a blessing and a rare find. He covers and provides for you with his integrity, wisdom and strength. If he can help it- He will go out of his way to see that you have no more unnecessary tears. He will do what he can to lavish his love and sweetly spoil you. He knows that the beautiful heart you have would never take advantage of his generosity, because you desire to be a blessing to him all the days of his life. ~ Ruby Wives, Jenny Williams copyright 2013

Your worth is GREAT. You desire to be more than somebody's secret whatever. Cut off unhealthy, unequally yoked relationships that are pushing you away from CHRIST. Stop rationalizing because staying in them longer will ONLY make it harder. Focus.

My day started off really rough. I had one of those mornings where I just didn't want to get out of the bed. It was like I had this overwhelming sense of depression that just sat on my shoulders. I wouldn't allow it to stop me though. I spent my time singing to the Lord as I worked. I sung of His glory, His power, His strength, and not my situation. I kept my Bible open on my desk, and I would read different verses to keep my mind focused on excellence and purity. I continued to thank God for my life, for those in my life, and for those He has given me the privilege to serve. We all have bad days, but that doesn't mean the bad days have to have us. Stay classy!

Let me fill you in on something... God will not stop using someone just because you don't like him/her. He will not stop blessings someone just because you don't think they deserve it. Who are you to determine who can be used by God? No human being can set a realistic standard to be followed. Christ is the standard. God will use whoever he pleases. God will bless whoever he pleases. While you sit back poppin' off at the mouth, that person is busy livin' life & praisin' God. Do you really think that person cares about your input? Probably not. Another thing.. God blesses ALL people. "Well they're lukewarm" or "They trash God". Ok. So? The Lord said he would pour out his blessings upon ALL flesh. That is how good he is. If you have life, you are blessed. God's not going to zap someone off of the face of the earth just because you can't stand him/her. To be honest.. you probably deserve a couple of zappings yourself. We all do. Let's focus on ourselves. We are each accountable to God for OURSELVES, not Sally next door. Let God deal with people. Pray for them. If you can't lift them up, then get your noise out of his/her life. Stop picking out every flaw you "think" you find in their life. You got a huge a log sticking out of your own eye. We each have things to improve on. Let's not pass up what God wants to do in us because we are too busy picking at others. Let's not pass up a blessing because we are jealous of others. Let's let God be God & let's rejoice with those who he blesses & pray for all who he uses for his glory.
This is about him. ♥

Living in VICTORY means that sometimes you have to develop new habits. If you’ve been negative for a long time, you’ve got to re-train your thinking from “I can’t” to “I can;” from “It won’t happen” to “It will happen;” from “I’ll never get well” to “God is restoring health unto me;” from “I never get any good breaks” to “God’s favor surrounds me like a shield;” from “I’ve made too many mistakes. I’m all washed up” to “I’m redeemed and forgiven. My best days are still out in front of me.” It’s like reprogramming a computer. Sometimes you have to wipe off the old, outdated, dysfunctional software and load in something new! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

We are products of our past, but we don't have to be prisoners of it. God's plan for your life is not limited by what you have or haven't done. He turned a murderer named Moses into a great leader and a shriveling coward named Gideon into an awesome hero. God specializes in fresh starts. He is a master at using everything bad from your past, for everything good for your future. Begin to seek His Will for your life today, and don't worry about your will from your life, yesterday. This will be one of the biggest steps in finding out your True Purpose: Forgiving yourself for yesterday, because God already has. -Matt

We have to understand that our life have very little to do with us. It has everything to do with our God and others. Our disobedience and ignorance doesn't just hurt us. It also hurts the people around us who are depending on our obedience. The tests and trials we face in life help us to mature, and that maturity is to be used to assist others. We have to abandon this selfish idea that life is all about us. Folks, keep striving towards obedience for the benefit of yourself and others. Keep pressing!

MOVING FROM DOUBT TO FAITH 'Lord, "Increase our faith.'' Luke 17:5 Why do we experience so much doubt? 1) Because doubt satisfies our need for self-protection. We don't like to be wrong, to get hurt, or to fail, so our subconscious reasoning says, 'It's easier not to trust, to lower my expectations so I won't be disappointed.' But you are disappointed, aren't you? Why? Because of your doubt. 2) Because doubting comes easily. We don't wake up in the morning and say to ourselves, 'Today I'm going to doubt God.' No, doubt moves into a vacuum; it takes over when we don't do the right things. '...Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God' (Romans 10:17). If you don't keep your mind filled with God's Word; you'll be constantly assailed by doubts. 3) Because doubters are easy to find. Sometimes the people around us dwell on all the obstacles and difficulties, opening the door to doubt. And once that stream starts flowing, you get carried along with it. 4) Because doubting is contagious. Doubt is easier to catch than the common cold, and its carriers are words. The Bible says, 'You are trapped by your own words' (Proverbs 6:2 CEV). The words you speak (and listen to) will either build you up or tear you down, increase your faith or decrease it. For example, 'What will I do?' versus, 'In God's strength I can handle it.' Or, 'It's awful' versus, 'It's a learning experience.' Or, 'I see no way out' versus 'It's not too big for God.' Words are powerful things. They determine your outlook and approach to life. So in order to move from doubt to faith you must start eliminating unscriptural words from your life!

You are God's biggest deal. YOU are His most prized possession, His most favorite creation. He designed this planet, exclusively, for you. He created water to drink, plants and animals to eat; He created gravity to keep you here, even the air you breathe, right now, was designed for your lungs, as a human. You see, this planet was specifically designed to be populated by us, God's Beloved Children. And it wasn't just designed for us to just barely get by, or to live a miserable life of fear and worry. Oh no, this place was designed very intricately for us to FLOURISH! My friends, God has had our best interest in mind since the day He created planet earth, and each one of us us.If you look in the very first chapter of the first book of the bible, it says that "God blessed us" That he specifically made us all to "fill the earth and govern it" to "reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground." (See Genesis 1:28). This planet and everything about it, was made by God, for us to live out our True Purpose. It was created out of love, for us, His most favorite creation of all. This is why you should never doubt that God doesn't love you. And you may say, "Matt, that may be true, it's all well and good to know that God made all of this, I believe it, but why would such a big god care about me?" My friend, God is big enough to make the sun burn, yet at the same time, He still cares very deeply about how your day is going. Every detail of your life matters to your Heavenly Father. He cares about you, more than you can fathom or possibly understand. Why? Because you are His child. The bible says that He knew you before He formed you in your mother's womb; that He set you apart and appointed you (See Jeremiah 1:5). Before He placed you, your specific spirit, in the body that you occupy now, He knew you. You have an eternal soul, that will live on, after you die, with or without a relationship with God. So many people just see hell as a burning pit for bad people, but I believe it is just eternal separation from God. God is all around us, all the time right now. In hell, God does not go. This place is not permanent. And when you die, you don't just go away. You will meet your Creator. You see, we are all just pilgrims passing through, this is not our final destination or our real home. Heaven is. That's where God and Satan do not co-exist. It's only God. And we are all being prepared for an eternal life that we cannot even try fathom or fit in our finite minds. Trying to explain heaven would be like trying to teach an ant geometry - impossible. But here is the deal: Your life is not random. God knows you. He knew you before time. He created time. And created you, out of love. You were created by Him and for Him, for a specific purpose, through His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. So that if you believe in Him, Jesus, that He died for you sins, and you change your life, you will not only get in on the wonderful afterlife that He is preparing, right now; but you will also fulfill the True Purpose and destiny that He has for you, right now, here on earth. So today, my friends, FEEL LOVED - because you are. You are loved deeper than you can possibly even put into words. God is not mad at you, He is quick to forgive and give mercy and grace. He longs for you to turn from your sinful ways, so that you can get in on the good stuff, your Real Life. You might ask, "Why do I need forgiveness of my sins?" My friend, it's because God knows no sin; you need a bridge to be able to come to Him. That bridge of forgiveness is Jesus. Jesus was the sacrifice FOR your sin, so that you can come to God, spotless. White as snow. Completely clean. Jesus gives you the ability to have a one-on-one conversation with The Creator of The Universe. Jesus gives you the strength to do His Will and get in on His Ultimate Plan for you life. Seek Him today. If God is speaking to your heart right now, and you need to stop doing something, simply stop. Whatever you need to shake off, shake it off. You don't need it anymore. When God speaks to your heart, listen. LISTEN, because when you do, He will lead your heart directly to where it should be, with Him. HABD & GIG! -Matt
For thousands of years philosophers have been trying to figure out the meaning of life, why we were created. Now, don't get me wrong, philosophy like any skill that God has blessed a man with, has it's uses; but even someone as smart as Zuckerberg would simply be guessing, when it comes to determining why we are breathing at this very moment. You see, GOD created you. The bible says that you were made by Him and for Him; it says that in Him all things hold together (See Colossians 1:16,17). THAT'S the starting line of The Race of Your True Purpose. Your real life begins when you acknowledge that God. Created. You. This is where faith comes into play. What does faith have to do with anything? Well, faith is not pretend. It is VERY real. God placed the ability of faith in you, before He created you. It's not just in "religious people"; it's in ALL OF US. Faith allows you to believe, 100%. No, you can't see it; but you know that God, Christ, and The Holy Spirit are real. No, you've never been there, but you know that heaven is real. No, you don't know why bad things happen, but God says that He loves us and that He is always with us; that He will use all bad for eventual good. This is called faith. The bible says that "faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is how you understand that you will never understand it all. The bible says that, "By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible." (Hebrews 11:3). So if acknowledging God, as your creator, is the starting line of the race of your true purpose; then faith is the track shoes that will help you run as fast as you possibly can. Faith ALLOWS you to believe in God, as your creator, without doubt, or trying to figure it all out. Nothing else will allow this, including proof. And God created YOU, particularly, very, very, VERY special and unique. God has never said, "Whoops! My bad." You are perfectly made to be exactly who you are, head to toe; fully equipped to reach your full potential and completely able to live the life that God planned for you. You, in your finite mind can't fathom this, but, He knew you before you were born. He knew the day you would arrive here on earth, He knows the day you will leave, He even knows the number of hairs on your head. He. Is. God. And He has a special plan, for YOUR LIFE, particularly. So, how do you get in on this wonderful plan for your life? How are you supposed to you figure out why you were created? The answer is short and simple: Ask your Creator. You are not simply whispering to the wind. Oh no, He hears you. And you can't just get in on this plan for your life through osmosis; you must turn to His Word; seek His Will. His Perfect Plan can be discovered by opening up the bible, daily. HE SPOKE, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Christ was God, in human form. And it's all been recorded, for you to access. So today, my friends, ask God to show you your True Purpose. Ask Him why He created you. He WILL speak to your heart, simply listen. It may not be an audible voice (it could be), but when you begin to ask, when you include Jesus Christ in all you do, God will direct your heart in the way it should be going. He will direct it directly to the center of the path of your True Purpose. HABD & GIG! -Matt
Following Christ does not mean you become meek, weak, and passive; it means you become confident, hopeful, and loving
Life produces motion. When I wake up early in the morning, I begin to move. I rinse my face, make my coffee, find my way down to my home office, I pray, read, write, and then continue on, moving, all throughout the rest of my day. I'm alive, therefore I will produce motion. As I drive to work, I see other people driving, they have life, they have motion. The birds fly and chirp, the squirrels scamper, the turkeys cross the road; they too, all have been given life, so they have motion. And sometimes, we will keep relics of life that no longer have motion; a deer head mounted above a fireplace, a fragile seashell, or even the ashes of a beloved pet. Life has gone from them, and with it, motion. The same is true with all of us, God gave us LIFE, and with it, motion. This same principle applies to your "spiritual life" as well. You have been given new life, through Christ; therefore, God expects spiritual motion. For so many years, I didn't think this mattered, expressing my faith, or trying to be Christ's Ambassador. I thought, my faith was my own business, worry about yourself. Oh, how wrong was I. I looked for every excuse to not have to show anything for my faith. Whether it be "blaming a hypocrite", holding onto a grudge with all vigor, bitterness to the point where I wanted to actually hunt down and argue with someone else that had faith, especially if that person was outwardly expressing it. This was wrong of me; when I was doing this, I was actually fighting against Christ. The day I stopped basing my faith on someone else's faith, God changed my heart, which changed my life - for the better. I stopped worrying about what someone else was or wasn't doing. And I began to try my best each day to do what I believe God wants me to do. If I failed, and I do daily, I simply always try again; and I stand firm in what God is doing in me and around me, by doing MORE. And no, you cannot earn God's grace, it's a free gift. But you STILL gotta do SOMETHING to bring glory and attention to HIM, DAILY. After all,If we don't, if nobody does, who will? The bible says, "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:26). It also says, "What good is it if a man has faith but has no deeds?" (James 2:14). When you accepted Jesus into your heart, you were given new life, therefore there must be MOVEMENT. I was just a little boy when I began to have a relationship with Jesus; unbeknownst to me, that was when my new life began. And it doesn't matter if you've had Christ in your heart for 50 years or 5 days; when you became a Christian, your new life began. Inevitably, because you began that new life, you must have new movement, it must express itself FOR GOD through "spiritual motion". YOU ARE A BRAND-NEW PERSON. SPOTLESS, on the fast-track of your True Purpose. And you began this new life, through The Word of Jesus Christ. My friend, you are gonna do great things for Christ and His Kingdom, and it begins by getting out His Word, and DOING His Word. In the book of James, it says, "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." (1:22). So today, my friends, MOVE. Your new life requires you to do so. Do it slowly. Take baby steps. This is a great new life, that God will walk through with you, hand-in-hand. And no, movement does not cause life, but it does follow life; and now, you have a brand-new life - THROUGH CHRIST! So move. Genuine faith should always result in actions that demonstrate it. Not for show, or for attention, but out of love for your Creator. Even Jesus said, "For a tree is known by it's fruit." (Luke 6:44). What kind of fruit do others pick from your tree? Make it beautiful and sweet, not rotten and bitter. So, with this new life that God has given you, through Christ, if you really want to live it, you gotta have motion. Life is in motion. Begin to move for Christ today, make a difference for Him. When you do, you will not only change your life forever, but you will be helping to change the eternity of many others' as well. HABD & GIG -Matt

"If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town." -Jesus
God never does anything accidentally; He has never said, "Whoops, my bad." It is impossible for God to make a mistake. Everything He makes, He makes perfectly. And He made YOU. You are perfectly made, head to toe, to have the exact DNA structure that God wanted you to have. Your parents may have not planned you, but God sure did. You are custom-made, in every way, to become exactly who God planned on you to become. In the bible, it says that before He formed the world God loved us and chose us, that through Christ He found no fault in us (See Ephesians 1:4). God was thinking about YOU even before He formed this planet! He actually created this planet, FOR YOU. He designed it perfectly for us to live in it, to have a relationship with Him, and to fulfill the life He planned on us having, not just here, but also in eternity. We are the focus of everything for Him, the apple of His eye, His most valuable creation. His love for us is unfathomable. And it doesn't matter what color your skin is, what language you speak, or what part of the planet you were born on; God has a perfect reason for you being born. Your life is not an accident, in any way. You may say, "But Matt, I don't know who my father is. I never met Him" or maybe "I was conceived through a one night stand." or "Out of rape." Maybe you are adopted. Maybe you just don't like your parents and you don't think that you are anything special, physically, that you are simply "random". My friend, God planned on you being you, no matter where your genetic makeup comes from, you are perfectly made, to be EXACTLY who you are. God wanted you to be you, just like you look, in that body, specifically. If He wanted you to be someone else, He woulda make you someone else. He made you exactly who you are, out of His love for you. Whether you think you are beautiful, handsome, or not - God has a perfect plan for you being who you are. Whether you think your skin color, or disability, or where you were born is a disadvantage, God planned it, out of love, for a specific reason. God is not a cruel God. He is a God of infinite love for you. No matter how your physical body got here, God wanted you to be you, exactly as you are, with the exact talents, gifts, and skills. The bible says that "God's gifts and His call are irrevocable" (See Romans 11:29). He planned your life with great precision. You are NOT illegitimate, you are physically perfect as you are, fully equipped to become everything that God made you to be. So when you look at your face in the mirror, know that God planned you face, perfectly, out of love. I have a many favorite christian artists that I listen to on a regular basis; Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Matt Maher, those are some of my favorites. But there is a song by The David Crowder Band, who I love as well, and the song is called "Everything Glorious". And in that song, there is a line that resonates in my soul anytime I start to think that I'm not good enough or that my life is in vain; it says, "You make everything glorious, and I am yours. What does that make me?" I'll tell you what it makes me: It makes me GLORIOUS. All of us are glorious, because we were all made out of God's glory. We were made by Him and for Him; for a specific purpose, a Perfect Plan. Ask God today what that plan is, seek this plan with all vigor, allow Him to change your heart, for good. When you do this, you will not only be getting in on God's plan for your life, but you will also be helping many others get in on their plan as well. HABD & GIG! -Ma
Why do we need to confess anything to God? Confession is simply coming clean with God, it's not telling Him something that He doesn't already know. You see, when you confess the bad in your life, the stuff in your heart that you know shouldn't be there, it allows Christ to clean it out, get rid of it, and then fill it with the good stuff. When you confess, it is a proclamation of trust in God's grace. A complete confession brings out humility and then change, through His grace. Confession is a positive thing! Don't look down on it or hide from it. Why? Because It is also a cleansing thing. Confession is God's way of helping us receive His grace in an even deeper way. When you confess something to God, you agree with Him, you quit arguing. You humble yourself and say, "Yep. You are right." Confession is not complaining, gossiping, or belly-aching; it is agreeing, with God, that you have been doing or something wrong. Confession is waving the white flag. Confession is folding your cards. Admitting fault. Confession is agreeing that you were in the wrong, or still are. Confession ultimately begets humility. And God can work very well humility. God can work with "eating crow", and He loves a humble heart. When you humble yourself, God can work with you. When you humble yourself through confession, Jesus has more room in your heart to do what He does best! When we simply confess to Him, "God, I need you. I messed up and I'm sorry. Give me the strength not to do it again." Confession is saying, "God, what I did was wrong, but I know that the depths of your grace is deeper than the depths of my sin." My friend, the euphoria of sin always passes quickly, and then you are left with more than a handful of regret and guilt. And that regret and guild cannot go away without confessing it to God. Unconfessed sin is the root of all pride. Unconfessed sin is like a knife-blade lodged in your soul. We were not made to live with unconfessed sin in our hearts. We can't reach our full potential or our True Purpose with unconfessed sin in our heart. It's gotta go away, to make room for Christ; to make room for His love, mercy, and forgiveness. Confession is God's way of extracting foreign objects from your heart. It is a huge step in becoming everything that God longs for you to be. My friend, bring your mistakes to the surface so that God can once and for all deal with them, so that He can cleanse you - completely, from all of it. And make sure that you get into the habit of confessing, receiving forgiveness, and moving on - daily. He will continue to cleanse your confessions out of His love for you, and because of His grace and mercy. Confess your sins to God and you will be surprised at just how quickly and just how deeply Jesus Christ can work in your life and in your heart. -Matt
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:8-9

Imagine you are in a pitch dark, cluttered room. You are trying to find your way out of the room, but most likely, you are going to trip and fall, and struggle to find the light. How much easier would it be through the dark times in our life, if we allowed God to hold our hand, and lead us to the light? He promises to take care of us, His word even says so!! To enter the kingdom of heaven we must become like little children, and I don't know about you, but I want to hold my Daddy's hand all through this life.

Men: Be READY for love before approaching her. Keeping a woman in the “friend zone” because you are not ready or because you need to weigh out all your options is not fair to her. HONESTY is what she deserves and not CONFUSION. At the end of the day, NEVER forget that she’s a child of God and your sister in Christ. Treat her like you would like your mother, sister, daughter or niece treated.
My comment: CONFUSION is not of God. I would value getting my feelings/spirit crushed with the truth than to be led on by lies in order to keep from hurting me. I value HONESTY.

n our day, the exclusivity of Jesus is considered intolerant, close-minded, and bigoted. But the most loving thing we can do is tell the truth so people can be reconciled to God.
