ALARM SECURITY on FACEBOOK
Even when people don't forgive you, God still does. Don't live in the past or allow yourself to be convinced that you are someone that you are not. God's promises remain, even when peoples' don't. And it IS possible to be a brand new person - though Christ!
It doesn't matter how good you look, it matters how good God looks.
"Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? If you are not disciplined, then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12:7-11
It is impossible to habitually sin and continue to enjoy it.
Faith. So many people see it as either something pretend, or they see it as a magic formula; that if you can muster up enough of it, you'll get rich, stay healthy, and live a completely comfortable and content life, with automatic and instant answers to all of their prayers. You see, the thing is, life, even with faith, does not always follow a pattern of predictable happy endings. Can it? Well heck yes, God can instantly do anything, He is God. But when you have faith, in Him, you will begin to understand that life is not about you and me; it's about making the world come alive - for HIM. And that doesn't always mean you are gonna be rich and famous, it doesn't mean that you will always be comfortable financially or in love and health; it means that no matter what, you know that you know that you know that God is still in control of all, that His Plan and Promises still exist over our lives, despite what you can or can't see. Here is what the bible says about faith, and if you have time today, read Hebrews Chapter 11, all of it. It goes into great detail of what true faith is. But verse number one says, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." I did repeat myself, because THAT'S IT. You can't see it and all you can do is have hope it it, but we are SURE and CERTAIN. Faith is not an emotion. It is a verb. An action. It is something you continually do. Even when you can see no way out or no happy ending - faith still remains. Yes, your happy ending will come one day, but it is your strength, through your faith, that God is more concerned with; bringing glory, praise, and attention to Him through your faith is what really matters - not what you are praying for. Yes, He does hear you when you pray, but your faith is what allows you to keep your joy, even when you aren't getting what you want, because you know that ultimately, God is still in control and that He loves you. So today, my friends, have faith. Keep your faith. Don't just pull it out of your pocket during emergencies, and don't try to get all the answers about God before you start to have it, just believe and have faith. You are never gonna understand it all, until you are in heaven. Just. Have. Faith. Because, you see, "without faith it is impossible to please God because if you come to Him you must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6). It requires humility because you are relying on something you that you can't see, and don't completely understand. Faith requires gritty determination to hang on at any cost. It requires you to persevere, it requires you to not lose heart, it requires you to endure. Faith is a race, and us as the runners must keep our eyes on the prize: God's unending love for us. And as the runners of faith, we must "throw off everything that hinders" (Hebrews 12:1) and not be scared or ashamed to call God, God. THAT IS FAITH. You see faith requires no proof and proof requires no faith. It only requires you to love God, and to believe. Begin to build your faith in God today - without trying to figure everything out at once; when you do this, you will begin to change your life, forever. HABD & GIG! -Matt
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6
"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have
done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrews 10:35&36
Jesus died and rose again. He did this so that we could have the privilege of simply praying, in His name, to The Creator of The Universe - and He'd hear us. It's really that simple. Jesus died so that you and I could conversate with God; so that we could walk right up to Him, hug Him, be in His Holy Presence at any point in time, all throughout your day, no matter where you are or what you are doing. For new Christians, or "Christians on the fence", why is this important? Why is it important that we have Christ as our bridge to God? It is important because God knows no sin. We do. It is important because God is perfect, we are not. Christ was and still is. And we can't even fathom just how big God really is, let alone His perfectness. It is impossible. No matter how smart you think you are, you are not smart enough. God created your mind anyway, so if He wanted you to know everything about Him, He would. He's God. He can do anything. But even if all of us, in our puny little minds, tried to piece Him together or we tried to figure out who He is, we would fall infinitely short. HE IS GOD. It's not our job to figure HIM out, we just gotta believe. JUST BELIEVE. That's all you are really responsible for. God is God. WE are His creation. And we are dearly loved and cared for. And He is everywhere. In the grand scheme of things, on this planet, there is a lot of bad. The Enemy is simply here, allowed and tolerated by God, in order to give us "choice". Choice to choose a relationship, or not, with God, who made you. And if you think there is no God here on earth, just wait until you see hell, God has nothing to do with hell. Hell is eternal separation from HIM. You don't want a relationship with Him, well when you get there, you got it - forever. But as for now, in this body, on this planet, GOD IS EVERYWHERE. This is HIS PLANET. HE CREATED IT. It didn't just pop out of thin air, or from a burning random star. HE CREATED THIS UNIVERSE. AND HE IS IN CHARGE OF ALL. And He dearly loves His Children, you and me. I have an analogy I like to use when describing just how big God is and how small evil is: If you could picture the greatest hurricane the world has ever seen; the weathermen on the news say that it will cover all of the United States - completely - it is HUGE. The size and power of that hurricane would represent God's love for us. And swirling in that hurricane is a spec of dust. That spec of dust is Satan's power. IT IS NOTHING. He is "the ant", God is "the boot". He has NO POWER that God does not allow. The Enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus came so that you could have LIFE, and have it to the fullest! So today my friends, thank God for the breath of air that you just pulled into your lungs, IT'S A GIFT! God has blessed all of us today with another day of LIFE! No matter what you are facing today, you are STILL ALIVE! That's a huge reason to have joy! That's a huge reason to SQUEEZE the most out of every minute! Regardless of your circumstances, no matter what you are facing, put them aside for at least a moment and thank God for this day and for your life. Talk to Him. Thank Him. You can do this very simple thing, through His Son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ. HABD & GIG! -Matt
"This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." 1 John 4:10
Here are a few verses on faith for you friends today; I talk A LOT about faith. It matters, more than anything in your life. "Faith" is the table that you and God place your coffee cup on while having a one-on-one conversation. It is believing in God like a child believes in Santa, completely and with all your heart. Faith is HOW you have a relationship with Your Creator. Faith is a verb. An action. It's not an emotion, it is something that you do. Faith requires no proof, and proof requires no faith. Like your physical muscles, your faith gets stronger and stronger when you work it out; when you use it during times of your life that are uncomfortable, it comforts. Begin building your faith today, and you will change your life, forever. Have a blessed day and God is Good! -Matt
"Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:1,3,6
Keep holding on, there is good coming for those who love God.
Then Jesus said to him, "Follow me!"
There is nothing that you are facing right now that God is not aware of. God knows what is going on in your life - better than you do. God doesn't exaggerate, and He is never short; He is always right on time, with the perfect amount of whatever you need. Anything He starts, He finishes - but - He will finish it on His timetable and according to His plan, not yours. And I know that some days it's easy to get discouraged, but on those days, don't focus on your circumstances, don't listen to "people", and don't hunt down "all things negative." Instead, focus on Your Creator. Focus on His love for you. Hunt down what He says about you. Hunt down His promises for your life. FOCUS ON HIM, not people or circumstances that you have no control over. Why should you do this? Because God is faithful God. He is a God of Completion. He will use the very things closest to you, to get you even closer to Him. Sometimes it's a bitter pill to swallow, but allow this to happen, because God knows what's best for you. When the cards seem to be stacked against you, simply focus on God rather than on your situation. You will get True Strength from Him; by having FAITH. There is nothing else that can give you this type of strength. Everything else is simply a placebo. And nothing in your life will make complete sense until He is #1 in you life; until Jesus Christ occupies the most room in your Heart, everything else will just feel empty. Nothing can fill that void, but Him. You see, Faith begets hope, hope begets strength, strength begets confidence, and confidence begets JOY. You will have joy, through your faith, because you KNOW that the work He's began in your life will come to a flourishing finish! No matter what it looks like, right now, God will always come through when it counts the most. You may not like your situation, or how long it's taking, but stay in faith; because when the dust settles, you will be even further along down The Road of Your True Purpose than you thought was even possible. Great things will happen in your life that you didn't even plan. Every promise that God has made over your life WILL come to pass; people and circumstances cannot stop God's promises. It's impossible, He is GOD. The Creator of Everything, The Giver of Life, The Architect of The Universe. He is big enough to hang the moon, yet small enough to care about how your day went. His promises are REAL, and they WILL happen. This is but a short trip in this body. In the blink of an eye, I'm already 31. I can remember catching frogs as a 4-year-old-boy at my Aunt Bev's house, like it was yesterday. My point is, this life is flying by minute by minute, you gotta get the most out of it - FOR GOD. It's not about us. We are all being prepared for something so much greater, in heaven, than we can possibly fathom. Trying to explain what heaven will be like to us would be like trying to explain geometry to a new-born baby - it is UNFATHOMABLE. But simply put, YOU have an eternal soul. When your body dies, your soul will either be forever with God or forever without Him. That's not complicated. And He knew you before time, and He created you for a specific purpose, here on earth. I call this reason to be alive, "True Purpose". And that purpose includes a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Friends, God loves you more than you can possibly understand and He wants you to love Him back. This is where you find the sweet spot in life. This is where the magic happens. The bible says that "In all things God works for the good of those that love him" (Rom 8:28). We gotta love Him, genuinely. He has an awesome plan for your life, and this plan includes Him. So today, my friends, stand firm in your faith! If you don't have faith, start today! If you are alive it's not to late! It doesn't matter what you've done or who you are, God will accept you with open arms! And those of you that are struggling to hold onto your faith; no matter what you are facing in your life right now, know that God is BIGGER! He is still in complete control! Your situation may look grim right now, but it is only a matter of time before God finishes what He started! The day is coming when you will look back and say, "Thank you, God. Now I understand!" IT'S COMING! And most of all remember: GOD LOVES YOU. He hasn't forgotten about you, He's not mad at you, and you are cherished; infinitely cared for, and perfectly made to be exactly who you are - through Christ. He is seeking you. He longs for you to include Him, in everything you do. HABS & GIG! -Matt

Today, don't complain. Speak victory over all of your circumstances and believe it as truth. Stay confident in what God is doing in your life. -Matt
"God will bring you to a flourishing finish." Philippians 1:6
Are you feeling overwhelmed or worried today? Jesus said, "How can you add even an hour to your life by worrying?" Today, refocus. Focus on God, not people or circumstances. When you focus on Him and His love for you, you will have peace. You will have peace because you know that He is hard at work and eventually all will be well. Have a blessed day! -Matt
"Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and I will rescue you." -God
